Mt. Pleasant, SC - Last week was a big week as we finished our EOC's. This is our last full week of the school year. Today and Wednesday are our non-EOC finals. Thursday and Friday will be Make-up finals.
Remember, no school Monday the 25th for Memorial Day as we honor the men and women who served our country and made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms.
We have graduation scheduled for Friday, May 29th, at 11 am. The ceremony will be held at Seacoast Church at 750 Long Point Road in Mount Pleasant. All teachers and staff will be at graduation. Seniors and senior parents, please check over the Senior Checklist one final time.
Seniors and Parents, later this week we are sending out unofficial transcripts for your review. You will have until Friday, May 22nd, to let us know if you see anything needing to be changed. Please email CTrubey@oceansidecollegiateacademy.org if you have any questions.
Congratulations to Blake Bocelli who signed to play Golf at Presbyterian College. We are so proud of Blake, who will also graduate high school with an associate degree.
As a reminder, the OCA baseball team will play Hanahan tomorrow, May 20, at 5 p.m. at Shipyard Park. Hanahan will be the home team for the game. The Landsharks need your support to held defeat the Hawks in not one, but two games to advance to the state championship series. Get out there and support the Landsharks!
In addition to baseball, the girls' soccer team will play for its sixth consecutive state title on Friday at 11 a.m. at Irmo High in Columbia. The Landsharks are 16-1-1 on the season and have outscored their opponents 32-0 in the playoffs. The will face off against a very good St. Joseph's Catholic (13-4) team for the title. After the conclusion of that game, the OCA boys' soccer team (16-4) will play Powerdersville (26-1) for the state championship. The Landsharks will be seeking to avenge their 1-0 loss to the Patriots in the title game last year and earn their fourth state title.
