Lottery Applications for the

2026-27 School Year

Applications

Online applications for the 2026-27 school year will open January 1, 2026, and run through January 31, 2026. Only current 8th graders or high school students may apply. Siblings of current Oceanside Collegiate Academy (OCA) students must complete an application during the application window to receive priority status. Applications submitted after January 31 will be added to the bottom of the waitlist, including siblings of current students, in the order in which they were received.

Who Should Apply?

  • Siblings of OCA students (current or graduated) wishing to attend for the 2026-27 school year
  • New students (rising grades 9-12) who wish to apply for the 2026-27 OCA enrollment lottery drawing.

* Note - current OCA students will have intent to return forms to complete in January and will have registration requirements (re-registration) in the summer.

Lottery Process

After the application window, if more applications are submitted that available seats, OCA will conduct a lottery. The lottery will be held in February 2026 (date to be determined), with seat offers and wait list positions being announced within two days.

The lottery will be grade level specific. This means the number of seats available will be based on how many spaces are available in each grade level.

Once the lottery has been processed (February) emails will be sent for seat offers and waitlist positions within 48 hours. The email will contain your personal link to check on your waitlist position. You will need to save the link so you are able to check your position as frequently as you'd like. We will not give waitlist positions out via email or over the phone.

Oceanside transitioned to an electronic process for the lottery administered by PowerSchool Enrollment in 2023, an independent student enrollment and school choice platform for Pre K-12 school systems.

Lottery Priority

  • Per Section 59-40-50(8), Oceanside will allow for the following exceptions for enrollment: siblings of a student currently enrolled or who graduated within the last six years and children of Oceanside employees will also be a lottery exception provided the total enrollment does not constitute more than twenty (20) percent of the school's total enrollment.

Post Lottery Timeline

  • Offered seats must be accepted and fees paid within 10 days of the admission offer to hold your seat. Once a seat is accepted and fees paid, you will receive Registration Information.
  • Once Registration invites are sent out, you will have five (5) days to complete enrollment.
    • The following documents are required for registration:
