PSAT/NMSQT 2026 Test Schedule
Date: Wednesday, October 14, 2026
Time: 7:45 am at OCA
(for both AM & PM Students: ON CAMPUS. Arrive at 7:30AM!)
10th grade students only.
The PSAT/NMSQT is practice for the SAT and is the only way to qualify for a National Merit Scholarship.
The most common reasons for taking the PSAT/NMSQT are:
- To practice in preparation for the spring digital SAT.
- To receive feedback on your academic strengths and weaknesses.
- Opens the door for scholarship opportunities including a National Merit Scholarship.
- To see how your performance might compare with that of others applying to college.

The National Merit® Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and scholarships that began in 1955. High school students enter the National Merit Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®)—a test which serves as an initial screen of approximately 1.6 million entrants each year—and by meeting published program entry and participation requirements.
