2025-26 Board Election Process
Oceanside Collegiate Academy has contracted with a third party to administer this year’s election process. This ensures integrity and confidentiality in the process.
The governing board consists of four appointed members and five elected members. This year three members will be elected for a two-year term and two will be appointed.
Election Timeline:
April 23, 2026, Call for Board nominations is included in the school newsletter, posted on school website, and shared via social media. Interested candidates can submit their resume and/or short bio with or without picture. Please include reason for board consideration to Carol Aust at carol.aust.sc@gmail.com. The reason for running and bio/resumes of Board candidates will be shared with the public.
April 30, 2026, Close of nominations - Acceptance of nominations will be closed at 3 pm EST.
May 1-7, 2026, Board nomination committee will select a date and time to meet to review candidates.
May 12, 2025, Candidate Information including reason for running will be posted online.
May 12, 2026, Voting is open with e-ballot links emailed to each parent/guardian and employee of SC Prep’s. Voting will close on May 13, 2026, at 4 pm. There is one vote per child enrolled in the school and one vote per employee. Voting will be available via e-ballot, allowing parents and employees to vote online.
Each ballot will have a unique pin number to ensure confidentiality and integrity of the process. Computers will be available at the school during normal school hours.
May 14 2026, Election results will be certified. New board members will be sworn in on June 23, 2026. This will complete the election process.
Meeting and Training Requirements:
Board Members Oceanside Collegiate Academy are required to attend all board meetings.
