With input from the South Carolina Department of Education and DHEC, Oceanside Collegiate Academy has updated their previous policies and guidelines a/o August 2023.
In order for our face to face instructional model to be maintained, our school community must continue to do their part to keep our students and staff as safe as reasonably possible.
Guidelines and procedures below are subject to change based on local/state guidance and the needs of our school.
Notable Information:
- Positive test results and quarantine information is provided to Oceanside by parent communication.
- After initial information is provided to OCA - guidance and dates for return to school, play, quarantine, etc. will be communicated & initiated by the school to the student, family, applicable teachers and team (if need be).
Return to School
Students who must isolate due to COVID can only return to school if:
- It has been at least five (5) days since symptoms started and 24 hours since the last fever, without using fever-reducing medication.
- Symptoms are significantly improving; and
- Oceanside return to school & play guidelines follow DHEC/CDC guidelines. Oceanside will determine all return to school and play dates.
FACE COVERINGS:
Students and/or employees may choose to wear a facemask at any time while at Oceanside Collegiate Academy.
REMEMBER!! Students Should:
- STAY HOME if they don’t feel well!
