Wren Alexander is a versatile Varsity Track & Field athlete at OCA, competing in the javelin, 1600m, and 3200m. His range from distance events to field competition highlights both endurance and strength, making him a valuable contributor across multiple disciplines. In addition to track, Wren competes in Cross Country, racing the 5K and continuing to build his stamina and competitive edge.
A sophomore, Wren was born in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, where he still calls home. He previously attended Coastal Christian Preparatory School before joining OCA. He is the son of Anne and Jeff Alexander and the brother of Isley Alexander and Reed Carpenter-Mayes.
In the classroom, Wren’s favorite subject is History. He enjoys reading The Lord of the Rings, a reflection of his appreciation for adventure and epic storytelling. His taste in entertainment is equally distinctive — he enjoys the film Pulp Fiction and the TV series How I Met Your Mother. Musically, he favors the classic country sound of Hank Williams.
Outside of athletics, Wren embraces the outdoors. He enjoys archery, hunting, biking, and fishing, and often spends his spare time reading or hunting. The Summer Olympics are his favorite sporting event to watch, appreciating the global stage of competition and athletic excellence.
After graduation, Wren plans to serve in the military while also pursuing a college education. His long-term career goal is to work in Wildlife Biology, combining his love for the outdoors with a desire to protect and study the natural world. With discipline, determination, and a strong sense of purpose, Wren continues to pursue excellence both on the track and beyond.
