Collin Phillips

Collin Phillips

Collin Phillips was born in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, and represented his country at both the U20 and U23 level. He migrated to the USA when he was recruited to play college soccer. He transferred to College of Charleston, and was a two-year starter and captain (NCAA Div. I Southern Conference 1999-2000).

During his time at College of Charleston, he was named to the First Team All-Conference in 1999. He also made the Adidas All-Region First Team in 1999, and the Second Team All-Conference in 2000.

He graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration in 2000. After College of Charleston, Collin played two years for the Charleston Battery (2001 and 2002). Today, he holds a USSF C License (2004), an NSCAA Advanced National License, and has developed a successful and impressive coaching resume:

  • Owner operator Phillips Soccer 2018-present.
  • Head Coach (Boys) – Pinewood Preparatory School (July 2019 – September, 2022)
  • Region coach of the year 2021 and 2022. Region champion 2022 undefeated in  region play
  • Coach – SC United Mt. Pleasant (August 2010 – January, 2020)
  • Coach – Bridge/ Coastal United Soccer Club (May 2005 – July 2010)
  • Assistant Coach – Pinewood Preparatory School (January 2008 – May 2010)
  • Coach – Mt. Pleasant Soccer Club (July 2003 – May 2005)

Coach Collins is married to Almisha Porcher Philips and they have three children: Christopher, August, and Chyler.  They reside in North Charleston.
