Oceanside Collegiate Academy

Courtney is originally from Woodbine, Ga., where she started her competitive swimming career at age six for the Boomers Swim Club. She swam year round, eventually earning a college swimming scholarship to Georgia Southern University. She lettered all four years, achieving Academic All-American Honors her Junior and Senior years. She held the school record in the 50 and 100 freestyle until 2015. 

After college she moved to Charleston for a short while, before moving cross country to Orange County, Ca., where she was a graduate assistant swim coach at Concordia University Irvine. In 2014 she moved back to Charleston.

"The best thing about being the OCA Head Coach is seeing the student-athletes work hard in and out of the pool. It’s very rewarding to not only see the athletes you coach do great things in practice every day, but to hear them discussing the great things they achieved at school as well. I love being able to coach these young men and women not only to be a good athlete, but to be a good person as well."
