Biography
Julia Jenks is a dynamic Varsity Track & Field athlete at OCA, competing in the long jump and 100-meter dash. A freshman with speed and determination, Julia brings energy and focus to every meet. In addition to track, she is also involved in cheer, showcasing her athleticism and team spirit across multiple sports.
Born in Maryland and raised in Charleston, Julia previously attended HCCA before joining OCA. She is the daughter of Rachel and Mike and the sister of Genevieve, Skylar, and Alexander. Julia most admires her dad for his strong work ethic and the example he sets through his hard work and dedication.
Julia competes with heart and confidence. She is also a member of the Mount Pleasant Track Club, continuing to sharpen her skills outside of school competition. Track is not only her sport to compete in, but also her favorite sport to watch. She looks up to elite sprinter Sha'Carri Richardson for her speed, strength, and presence on the track.
In the classroom, English is Julia’s favorite subject. Outside of school and athletics, she enjoys cheering, running, spending time with family, and hanging out with friends. Her favorite movie is The Notebook, and she loves watching Outer Banks. Pasta tops her list of favorite foods.
After graduation, Julia plans to attend college and hopes to pursue a career where she can help people and make a positive impact. With her competitive drive, supportive family, and strong work ethic, Julia is just getting started on a promising journey both on and off the track.
