Oceanside Collegiate Academy

McCarley Scarbrough is a Varsity Track & Field athlete at OCA who brings dedication, heart, and quiet determination to everything she does. A ninth grader, McCarley is proud to represent her school while continuing to grow as both an athlete and a student.

Born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina, McCarley was previously homeschooled before coming to OCA. She is the daughter of Julian and Kim and the sister of Tripp and Jake. Family plays a central role in her life, and she most admires her mom, whom she describes as the perfect role model and everything she hopes to be and more.

In the classroom, English is her favorite subject, and her favorite book is the Bible. Her faith is especially important to her, and she spends much of her spare time reading her Bible and growing spiritually.

Outside of track, McCarley enjoys running, working out, and hanging out with friends. When it comes to sports, she loves watching volleyball, basketball, and football. Pasta tops her list of favorite foods, keeping things simple and classic.

After graduation, McCarley plans to attend college and hopes to build a future centered on helping others and one day becoming a mom. With her strong faith, supportive family, and servant-hearted goals, McCarley is building a foundation that will carry her far both on and off the track.
