Will Hunt is a dominant force on the Varsity Football team at OCA, anchoring both the offensive and defensive lines. “Big Will” brings strength, toughness, and leadership to the trenches. A sophomore from Charleston, South Carolina, Will previously attended Camp Road Middle School and has quickly made his presence known across multiple sports.
In addition to football, Will competes in rugby as a prop and participates in Track & Field, throwing both discus and shot put. His athletic accomplishments include being a two-time football state champion and a rugby state finalist. Beyond competition, he serves as a leader in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and is also involved in the Pickleball Club.
Will is the son of Michael and Brandy Hunt and the brother of Drew Riddell, Cassie Hunt, and Ellie Hunt. He most admires his mom for her honesty, tireless work ethic, and deep love for their family. His faith is central to who he is, and he proudly shares that he is a Christian with a strong faith in Jesus.
Academically, English is his favorite subject, and he enjoys reading To Kill a Mockingbird. His favorite movie is Whiplash, and he enjoys watching The Big Bang Theory. Musically, he listens to Cracker. When it comes to sports fandom, college football tops his list, and he looks up to NFL defensive standout Christian Wilkins.
Outside of athletics, Will enjoys traveling, writing, spending time with friends and family, and playing video games. On game days, he keeps one superstition — he refuses to step on the field lines until the game officially begins.
After graduation, Will plans to attend college and is considering a career as either a sports therapist or a computer engineer. With his championship experience, leadership mindset, and strong foundation of faith and family, Will continues to make a powerful impact both on and off the field.
