Oceanside Collegiate Academy

Beth Shackel-Scott relocated to the Mount Pleasant area in 2016 with her family. Previous to her role as Assistant Principal, she served as OCA’s Athletic Director and Girls Varsity Basketball Coach in the teams inaugural season .  Prior to her career in education within the Massapequa School District (Long Island, NY), Mrs. Shackel-Scott worked as the Director of Women’s Basketball Operations for Division I Hofstra University as well as Major League Baseball Advanced Media (MLB.com).

A four-year member of the Women’s Division I basketball team, Mrs. Shackel-Scott graduated from Marist College (Poughkeepsie, NY) with a B.S. in Business, Marketing and subsequently earned her Master’s degree in Physical Education. In 2014 she completed a post-Master’s in Educational Leadership and Administration from Stonybrook University.

“I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to serve the students and families at Oceanside Collegiate Academy”, she states, “and look forward to working within our school community to support OCA’s mission and help each individual reach their own level of success!”

Mrs. Shackel-Scott enjoys spending her “free time” with her husband and three daughters!
