Scarlett Mayer is a Varsity Lacrosse midfielder at OCA who brings speed, athleticism, and intensity to the field. A senior, Scarlett competes with confidence and versatility while also contributing to the Varsity Basketball team as a forward. Her multi-sport background strengthens her competitive edge and overall athletic presence.
Born in New York and raised in Charleston, Scarlett previously attended Porter-Gaud before continuing her athletic and academic journey at OCA. She is the daughter of Jeremy and Hilary and the sister of Jackson and Maddy. She admires her dad most because of his wisdom and the life lessons he shares — guidance that continues to shape her perspective.
Academically, Scarlett enjoys Physics and balances her studies with her passion for sports. Outside of competition, she spends her spare time playing lacrosse, hanging out with friends, drinking coffee, drawing, crafting, shopping, eating, and enjoying time with her dog.
Her accomplishments on the field include being a two-time All-American, and she competes at a high level with her travel team, Skywalkers. When watching sports, basketball is her favorite, and she looks up to NBA star Kyrie Irving for his skill and creativity on the court.
Scarlett’s favorite movie is Avatar, and she enjoys watching Money Heist. Musically, she listens to Drake. Steak is at the top of her favorite foods list.
After graduation, Scarlett plans to attend college and continue playing lacrosse at the next level. She notes that the national anthem is meaningful to her as part of her game-day routine and mindset. With talent, determination, and championship experience, Scarlett is ready for her next chapter both on and off the field.
