Allie Puatu Siebert brings a lifelong connection to volleyball, a competitive athletic background and several years of coaching experience in the Mount Pleasant community to her role as Head Girls Volleyball Coach at Oceanside Collegiate Academy.
A native of the Chicago area, Siebert grew up in an athletic family as the oldest of five children. Volleyball was truly a family sport—all five siblings played the game at some point, and all five became setters, following in the footsteps of their father. Siebert credits her dad with helping develop both her skills and her passion for volleyball through countless hours of peppering together, attending college matches and talking strategy.
Siebert played club volleyball from age 12 through 18 in Massachusetts and Northern California, competing in major events including Winterfest in Connecticut and USA Volleyball qualifiers in Reno, Las Vegas and Denver. A setter from the age of 13, she went on to become a four-year varsity volleyball player at Dougherty Valley High School in San Ramon, California, serving as the team's starting 5–1 setter for three seasons. She also excelled in softball and was a team captain in both volleyball and softball during her junior and senior years. Her accomplishments earned her the school's Athlete of the Year honor for 2013–14.
Her volleyball career also attracted attention at the collegiate level. During her senior year, Siebert was recruited to play setter at Hawaii Pacific University. Knee injuries ultimately prevented her from pursuing the opportunity, but her passion for the sport never diminished.
Siebert attended the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2018. She later earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Idaho in 2022. Her professional background includes serving as a Contract Associate with Holland & Hart and as a Title IX Associate at the College of Charleston.
After settling in the Charleston area, Siebert returned to volleyball from the coaching side and has spent the past several years coaching young athletes in Mount Pleasant. She continues to be an avid student and fan of the game, closely following college volleyball—particularly her Nebraska Cornhuskers.
The opportunity to join OCA appealed to Siebert because of the school's commitment to elite athletics. As a coach, she brings the perspective of a former setter and multi-sport athlete along with a deep appreciation for the strategy, leadership and teamwork required to compete successfully.
Away from volleyball, Siebert enjoys spending time with her husband, Colton, who works in finance and strategy for Athletes Unlimited, and their son, Xander. The family is expecting its newest addition in December 2026. They can often be found together at volleyball matches or spending time surfing at the beach. Their family also includes Saya, a Dalmatian.
Siebert is an avid reader of fantasy and romance novels—especially those involving dragons and magic—and counts the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy among her favorite films. One of her favorite inspirations is Theodore Roosevelt's famous "Man in the Arena" passage, particularly its message about having the courage to strive, compete and pursue a worthy cause.
For Siebert, coaching represents the continuation of a relationship with volleyball that began in childhood and has remained a central part of her life. At Oceanside, she now has the opportunity to pass that passion, knowledge and competitive spirit to the next generation of Landshark student-athletes.
