Ms. Barrineau grew up in Mount Pleasant and graduated as Valedictorian from Palmetto Christian Academy where she played tennis and basketball. Ms. Barrineau then graduated summa cum laude from Clemson University’s Honors College earning double majors in History and Secondary Education. She also achieved a minor in Political and Legal Theory as a part of the Lyceum Fellows Program at Clemson.
While at Clemson for her undergraduate degree, Ms. Barrineau worked as an academic tutor for athletes and was involved in numerous on-campus academic, honors, and extracurricular organizations.
Upon graduation, Ms. Barrineau continued her education as a part of Clemson’s Teacher Residency Program and received a Master’s of Arts in Teaching, Secondary Education, Social Studies while co-teaching at Greer High School in upstate South Carolina.
Ms. Barrineau loves creating a positive learning environment and building relationships with her students. In her spare time, Ms. Barrineau enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing tennis, enjoying the beautiful Lowcountry, reading, and cheering on the Clemson Tigers!Â
She and Oceanside Assistant AD Brooks Barrineau were married earlier this year.
