Mount Pleasant, SC - Oceanside Collegiate Academy (OCA) is excited to announce the launch of the OCA Virtual Academy, a new initiative beginning in the 2025–26 school year.

The Virtual Academy will welcome rising OCA 11th and 12th grade students not enrolled in dual enrollment courses, new students who have been accepted to OCA for the 2025-26 school year as well as those from the wider community.

"At OCA, we are committed to providing diverse and innovative pathways to success for all our students," Principal Christina Brown said. "The launch of our Virtual Academy for 11th and 12th graders offers increased flexibility while maintaining the rigor of our college preparatory curriculum and the invaluable connection to our vibrant OCA community. We're thrilled to empower our students with this new opportunity to learn in a way that best suits their individual needs, all while remaining a vital part of the Shark family."  

The Virtual Academy is designed to offer students a more flexible educational experience. Coursework will be delivered through Edmentum/VirtualSC, enabling students to complete classes off campus.  While enrolled in the Virtual Academy, students will be able to participate in all OCA-sponsored school events and athletic programs.

Enrollment in the Virtual Academy requires a one-year commitment, and students will have access to dedicated teacher support throughout the program.
